Secondary Emulsifier for Oil-Based Mud

UTMUL-S is a secondary emulsifier for oil-based drilling fluids. When used in combination with the primary emulsifier UTMUL-P, it delivers excellent emulsifying performance, improves the electrical stability of oil-based drilling fluids, and reduces the high-temperature and high-pressure (HTHP) fluid loss.

Extensive tests on various oil-based mud formulations, covering different base oils, mud densities, oil-water ratios and hot rolling temperatures, have verified that under the operating temperature not exceeding 177°C (350°F), UTMUL-S enables the drilling fluid to maintain ideal rheological properties, high electrical stability and low HTHP fluid loss.

UTMUL-S is suitable for a variety of oil-based drilling fluids, including diesel oil-based, white oil-based and synthetic-based drilling fluids. It is low in toxicity, non-fluorescent, and features good compatibility with other oil-based drilling fluid additives.
