UTtrol- Ⅱ is a hydroxypropyl starch with a moderate degree of substitution. It is a highly efficient, environmentally friendly fluid loss additive with salt resistance, used in oilfield drilling fluids, completion fluids, and workover fluids.
By modifying the molecular structure of starch, when used in combination with xanthan gum, the drilling fluid system treated with UTtrol- Ⅱ can achieve excellent low-shear-rate viscosity. This unique polymer combination provides a synergistic effect, improving the static suspension capacity of the drilling fluid while delivering good pseudoplastic fluid behavior during circulation.
When compounded with suitable bridging agents or weighting particles, UTtrol-Ⅱ reduces fluid loss while minimizing damage to reservoirs. Therefore, drilling fluids containing UTtrol-Ⅱ can be used for reservoir drilling.
UTtrol-Ⅱ is environmentally friendly.
