



Dynatrol is a specially processed, derivatized starch as a unique and effective salt-resistant filtrate-controlling additive for drilling, completion and workover fluids. With adjustment of its molecular structure, it generates desired low shear rate viscosity in a fluid containing xanthan gum biopolymer. This unique polymer combination is synergistic and yields improved static suspension as well as highly pseudoplastic behavior under dynamic conditions.
Dynatrol, when used in combination with properly sized bridging/weighting particles, provides filtration control and helps minimize damage to the productive formation. Fluid compositions mixed with Dynatrol may be utilized for drilling into pay zones.
Dynatrol is also environmentally safe, presenting no toxicity or ecological problems.
